C Is for Christmas

Christmas Eve has arrived, and Alfie suddenly realizes he has not sent Santa his wish list. During a trip to the outdoor market, he shares the worry with his babysitter Quentin. Their outing becomes a chance to discover how many things make the holiday special.

Using the letters in Christmas as a guide, they notice seasonal sights and activities, from cookies and holly to skating, trees, and music. Alfie's urgent concern gives way to a wider look at the celebration happening around him.

Brittany J. Thurman and illustrator Derick Brooks bring Quentin and Alfie back for an ABC adventure filled with opportunities to spot details and join in. The story combines a child's familiar holiday anticipation with a playful exploration of words, community, and festive traditions.
